At St Mary’s, we nurture young scientists, equipping them with the skills, knowledge and experiences that spark curiosity and foster a lifelong enjoyment of science.

Our curriculum is a carefully planned model of progression, where scientific knowledge and working scientifically build in complexity from EYFS through to the end of KS2. Children are encouraged to ask questions, explore, and investigate the world around them through hands-on enquiry. By broadening and deepening their understanding of key scientific concepts, our curriculum empowers pupils to make sense of natural phenomena, appreciate the impact of science on our lives, and recognise their role as future problem solvers in an ever-changing world.
